About Us

Our mission at ETS is to improve the performance and reliability of electric power generation facilities and industrial sites by providing effective troubleshooting, testing, and repair services for electrical equipment and controls. We provide these services with trained, qualified staff who work to the highest of industry standards.

The Team

Scott Van Haltern - ETS

Scott Van Haltern

Scott Van Haltern has worked in power generation his entire career. Spending almost the last 15 years in Nuclear, Wind, Hydro, and Solar. In doing so, has gained a deep understanding of how a generation facility should work. Scott’s experience in control systems, switchgear, protection, and generators provides an invaluable asset to solving any problem.

Scott holds numerous qualifications for electrical safety, PLC systems, relay testing, in addition to holding a Master’s Electrician license in several states.

ETS - Marty Van Haltern

Martin Van Haltern

Marty Van Haltern was always curious about how things worked growing up. He studied Mechanical Engineering in college and in 1978, received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame. Marty continued his education, earning a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from MIT.

Marty spent the entirety of his “first” career in Nuclear, working as a principal engineer and program manager, he gained an in-depth and demonstrated understanding of power generation, site operations, and project management.

Marty’s understanding of systems, and engineering processes, coupled with our technicians’ experience and training, allows ETS to provide technical expertise to a wide range of systems and technologies across several different areas of power generation and industrial applications.
